ST. KITTS and NEVIS host one-day International and Test Match at the new Warner Park - May-June 2006
"St. Kitts and Nevis will be holding its first One-Day match on the 24th May 2006 and its first Test Match ever on the 22nd June 2006. So St. Kitts and Nevis has now emerged into one of the Test Playing countries of the world.

ST. KITTS and NEVIS to host six cricket World Cup matches 2007
St. Kitts and Nevis will host six Phase One Day matches in the 9th Cricket World Cup 2007. The twin island Federation hosts Australia, South Africa, Scotland and The Netherlands at Warner Park. Following the opener on March 13th between the West Indies and Pakistan in Jamaica, Australia will open the defence of its cricket World Cup title against Scotland in St. Kitts and Nevis on March 16th.
Other matches set for St. Kitts and Nevis are South Africa vs The Netherlands on March 16th; Australia vs The Netherlands on March 18th; South Africa vs Scotland on March 20th; Scotland vs The Netherlands on March 22nd and Australia vs South Africa on March 24th.

The World Gets Ready For 2006 St. Kitts International Music Festival 29 June - 02 July 2006
The Musical World is gearing up for the 10th Anniversary of the St. Kitts International Music Festival, slated for 29 June - 02 July 2006. This world -class festival has quickly emerged as the most unique of its kind and has won critical acclaim from music fans throughout the Caribbean and around the world.
The St. Kitts International Music Festival, which has become a permanent fixture on the Musical Calendar with its blend of Calypso, Soca, Reggae, Dance hall, Jazz, R & B, and Gospel, will be on show with its 2006 version.
Based on the incredible success of past festivals it is anticipated this extravaganza will surpass the excitement of previous festivals, which have catapulted St. Kitts to the forefront of Caribbean destinations.
Over the past nine years the St. Kitts Music Festival has been graced with the presence of many international music legends such musical luminaries as Ludacris, Boys II Men, Wyclef Jean, John Holt, Kenny Rogers, Busta Rhymes, Brian Mc Knight, Buju Banton Hugh Mackerel, Peabo Bryson, Chaska Khan, Bobby Caldwell, Cede Weans, Shirley Caesar, Michel Montano, Square One and Beanie Man.
The 2006 festival, which will be held at historical grounds of the Fort Thomas hotel, will offer a wide variety of exciting activities, including a beach party, food fair village to complement this music festival.
The Royal St Kitts Golf Club 3 Holes on the Atlantic and 2 on the Caribbean
The Royal St Kitts 18-Holes Championship Golf Course, is named one of the best courses in the Caribbean.
The course provides St Kitts with the most scenic and best-conditioned championship course in the region, comprising 12 beautiful lakes and wide fairways. The "Links" style course, has five-Par 3's with three full holes on the Atlantic Ocean and two full holes on the Caribbean Sea and covers 125 acres of lush, irrigated grass - Seashore Paspalum - a new type of grass developed to be able to cope with seawater spray. The course also boasts the new Nick Faldo Institute will provide full swing demonstrations, clinics and weekly schools.
St Kitts Marriott Resort
The four star deluxe St Kitts Marriott Resort is located overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and is only 10 minutes from the capital city, Basseterre with its many attractions. The New Mango SPA Retreat
The new Mango Orchard Spa Retreat is located in a dedicated tranquil cottage in the gardens of The Ottleys Plantation Inn. Guests can gaze out across the natural splendour of the rainforest, whilst indulging in a massage or body wrap on the Spa's private balcony. Ottleys, originally a 17th century sugar plantation and set amidst 35 unspoiled acres at the foot of Mount Liamuiga, has its very own rainforest trail and has been lovingly restored in colonial style.
Angelus St Kitts Hotel
The brand new property 'Paradise Beach Resort' on St Kitts has undergone a name change to The Angelus Resort and Spa. According to the SVP of Sales and Marketing, Scott Ward, the change in name aims to "...distinguish us from any other resort among the Caribbean islands for people who have not visited us". Located on Frigate Bay, the Angelus has been voted 'one of the sexiest resorts in the Caribbean' by the New York Post in 2004. The Angelus Resort and Spa, when completed, will feature 144 rooms, Le Carib? gourmet restaurant, Aveda Spa and bi-level tropical beachfront pool on 15 acres.
The Sugar Train Tour
Riding on the new St Kitts Scenic Railway - the first of its kind in the Caribbean - aboard the Sugar Train, continues to be the most exciting way of taking in the island. The tour follows the tracks of the original Sugar Train via old plantation homes and past some unforgettable views of dramatic bridges. Since February 2003, visitors have been able to travel this unique 30 mile route in deluxe double-decker coach cars and see sites including: Black Rocks, a series of lava deposits on the island's northern coast which crashing waves have carved into magnificent high cliffs and Brimstone Hill, the site of Thomas Jefferson's great-grandfather's grave.
St Kitts Announces Dive Initiative
St Kitts has announced plans to emerge as the next major contender in the world's hottest diving destinations. With no reputation currently in place, the island is seeking to capitalise on the abundant marine life found in its untouched coral reefs, hot water vents, shallows and swim through caverns.
Dr. the Hon. Denzil L Douglas, Prime Minister of St Kitts & Nevis, comments: "We believe St Kitts is the next hot dive destination, with several hundred wrecks and untouched coral reefs, divers will truly be delighted and amazed at what they discover here. Our sites provide a wide variety of dives for both beginner and skilled divers." Several hundred pristine wrecks dating back to the 17th century have been discovered in the island's waters, including a 1740's English troopship at White House Bay. In addition to promoting the dive and tourism product, the project includes the establishment of several marine parks.
St. Kitts is served by Excel Airways direct every Saturday from London-Gatwick and also have connecting daily flights via Antigua with British Airways, BWIA, Virgin and bmi with same day connections on LIAT and Caribbean Star. All flights arrive at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport, situated just 2 miles outside the historic capital city of Basseterre.
