October 2007 sees regional airline Eastern Airways introduce a third daily rotation on its Aberdeen to Stavanger route, less than three months after the company launched the service, its first international scheduled flights from Scotland, while in a further enhancement, a Sunday return flight is also being introduced.
The new weekday flight, which departs Aberdeen at 12.25, returning with a 16.40 departure from Norway, will supplement the existing early morning and late afternoon flights and results in a substantial increase in the level of connectivity available to the rest of the Eastern network. The Sunday service leaves Aberdeen at 17.20 and Stavanger at 19.55.
In a further move to improve customers’ onward options, from next Monday (29th October), the times of the weekday service between Aberdeen and Stornoway have been altered with the flight leaving Aberdeen at 15.10, arriving in Stornoway at 16.05, with the return flight departing at 16.35, for a 17.30 arrival in Aberdeen.
Eastern Airways’ Scotland Director Graeme Ross commented. “These revisions will add more than thirty connections daily to our network and are sure to be welcomed by both business and leisure travellers.”
Eastern Airways celebrates its 10th anniversary this year and also offers onward connecting UK services from Aberdeen to Bristol, Durham Tees Valley, East Midlands, Humberside, Leeds Bradford, Newcastle, Southampton and Wick.
