Can I use Sterling traveller cheques in Margarita?

The best currency to take with you to Margarita Island is the dollar as you currently get a good rate of exchange. Traveller cheques are fine both dollar and sterling, but changing sterling cash may be a little difficult. Most credit cards are accepted.
