What: Hurricane Festival
Where: Scheeßel, near Bremen, Germany
When: 20-22 June 2008
Web: www.hurricane-festival.de

The Hurrican Festival is a rock festival that takes place annually in Germany's Lower Saxony region. It is the brainchild of VIVA, a privately owned music television channel attached to the MTV network. It was started in 1973 and with over 50,000 people turning up each summer , it is still going strong. Although the music was once hailed as 'alternative', these days it's a little more mainstream. Featured artists include Radiohead, Black Rebel, The Chemical Brothers, The Subways The Wombats, Billy Talen, Enter Shakari, Foo Fighters amongst others. There's also a campsite in situ, a party tent and bungee jumping in case you get an adrenaline rush that you need to shake off.

Tickets cost: 115 euros which includes camping (bring your own tent), parking, and advance booking fees. The price also include 5 euros for a rubbish bag and a chip but you'll get that refunded on the last day.
