When to go: New York is so vibrant that any time is a good time. However, mid July to mid August sees temperatures rising to around 100°F (38°C) with up to 90% humidity and could be uncomfortable. Also in Januar/February temperatures are low and decidedly cold and there is snowfall. Weatherwise, autumn and spring are best times to visit but at these times you pay top dollar for hotels.
Flight time: From the UK, around 7 hours.
