What: Walt Disney World Resort Walt Disney World Resort in Florida covers an impressive 47 square miles and within that there are four theme parks, two water parks, four mini-golf courses, more than 20 themed resort hotels, two entertainment districts and Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex. It overflows with fun, dining, shopping, things to do, see and relaxtion. The Four Theme Parks: At the Magic Kingdom theme park, the original theme park that first opened in 1971, make-believers can see their beloved Disney characters from princesses to priates and get to enjoy rides that take them over 40 attractions such as the Caribbean, classic Pirates, Splash Mountain and the amazing Space Mountain. At the Main Street USA, you get to watch the new daily Disney Dream Come True Parade and the magical nightime spectacular. The park is famous for its iconic Cinderalla Caste, which is probably the most photographed building in the world. You can create your own adventure at the Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park where a high speed train takes you through the treacherous Himalayan unknown on Expedition Everest. You can also watch Finding Nemo - The Musical, then ride Kilimanjaro Safaris and be surrounded by free-roaming animals. At Disney Hollywood Studios it all about high octane adventure - lights, motors, action! Extreme stunt shows put you right in the middle of a Hollywood blockbuster. There are two here too: Tower of Terror and Rock'n'Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith. The Epcot theme park is divided into two sections Future World and World Showcase and offers high-tech excitement and global cultures. It is home to the Mission:SPACE which has two astronaut training levels and a thrilling take is out of this world. The Test Track rides are daring drives and are exhilerating. The ride is the longest and fastest in Disney history. You get to experience the race up bumpy terrain, roar through hair-pin turns, speed into freezing cold chambers, and rush on to 50-degree banked curves at 97 kilometres an hour. You also get to glide in The Seas with Nemo and friends and at IllmuNations, you can eat and drink the food and experience the culture of 11 nations. This is also home to the massive geosphere known as Spaceship Earth. The Two Water Parks: The two water parks are the Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park - a tropical paradise created by an artifical typhoon and real sharks and the Disney's Blizzard Beach home to the USA's tallest water slide and lots of thrilling water action. Shopping and Recreation at the Downtown Disney Area: Afterwards the resort offers two entertainment districts: Downtown Disney Pleasure Island and Disney's BroadWalk. Major establishments at Downtown Disney include Disney Quest Indoor Interactive Theme Park, Cirque du Soleil - La Nouba, House of Blues, Virgin Megastore, Planet Hollywood, Rainforest Cafe, Pleasure Island, LEGO Imagination Store, Bongo's Cuban Cafe, Wolfgang Puck, AMC Pleasure Island 24 Theatres, The World of Disney Store, and many more. Where to stay: Walk Disney World Hotel. Accommodation ranges from luxury of Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa and the mid range Disney's Pop Century Resort with its themed swimming pools. Location: Walt Disney World is located SOUTH of Orlando in the Lake Buena Vista area. Get there via Interstate 4 via several "gates" or major roads that lead into the resort. Depending on which park or area of the resort you are traveling to determines which road entrance you should use.
