What: Portaventura Theme Park The Portaventure Theme Park is divided into five areas that relate to Polonysia, China, Mexco and the Far West. All areas comprise themed rides, shows, restaurants and shops. Featured rides are the Hurakan Condor - a tipping free fall ride, Dragon Khan - a coaster with eigt inverted loops and Templo del Fuego - a multi million pound indoor attraction. The shows offer entertainment for all the family, from CanCan shows in the Far West to the popular Aloha Tahiti in the Polynesian area of the park. Restaurants vary from a la carte to fast food. At night the sky is lit up by the Fiestaventura firework extravaganza. Caribe Aquatic Park is home to a number of water rides, water pools and lazy rivers all with a relaxing Caribbean theme. Where to stay: There are three 4-star hotels as well as exlusive rooms in the select Club San Juan. All guests are entitled to unlimited theme park access. The private Beach Club provides hotel guests with a private secluded area with swimming pools and restaurants on the seafront. Location: Adjacent to the resort of Salou on the Costa Daurada, Catalonia, Spain and an easy journey from Barcelona. CommentsJames Sampson, United Kingdom It is a very cool themepark. I went the first year it opened ('93 I think) and it was tremedous then. We went there again a few years ago and thought it was great - had a lot more, bigger rides. Booked our holiday with portaventura holidays, liked Dragon Khan best - incredible loops and corkscrews. 21 May, 2009 Add Your CommentPlease note: all comments will be manually verified by our staff before appearing on the site.
