Smoker Sets Eurostar Alight
Just a month after fire caused major disruption to Eurostar services, a smoker threw the Channel tunnel timetable into disarray on Friday
After a trip to the lavatory for a nicotine fix the smoker failed to properly put out a cigarette, starting a fire in one of the bins in the toilet.
Smoke began pouring out of the cubicle as the train approached the French side of the tunnel on Friday.
The incident caused a four-hour delay for 700 passengers on their way to Paris.
Damage from the fires last month is still being repaired.
