clickair, Europe’s newest low cost carrier, has commenced an expansive summer season of flying with the launch of daily flights on Sunday 25 March from London Heathrow to La Coruna, in the unspoilt region of La Galicia in north west Spain and from London Gatwick to Seville. The latter was previously operated by the airline from London Heathrow but the shift to Gatwick means clickair now has a presence at the UK’s largest and second largest UK hub airports. The airline continues to offer daily flights from LHR to Valencia.
The new clickair Airbus A320 flights to La Coruna depart London Heathrow at 1135, arriving into La Coruna at 1430 and from La Coruna at 1505, arriving London Heathrow at 1605. One way fares start from just €48 (£33). From London Gatwick’s North Terminal the new daily services to Seville depart at 1610. From Seville, flights depart at 1355. One way fares start at €40 (£27) one way. clickair’s A320s are configured with 180-seats in single class layout, with soft blue leather Recaro seats.
La Coruna, in the region of Galicia, is located in the lush north western corner of Spain, close to the border with Portugal. This part of the country - frequently described as ‘green Spain’ as a result of its temperate climate - has an economy based on fishing, farming, agriculture and its becoming increasingly popular for tourism. Galicia provides a taste of ‘real’ Spanish culture, taking the visitor away from the more commercial regions of southern Spain and into a region rich in history, tradition, culture and architecture.
Seville, the provincial capital of Andalucía, in south west Spain is renowned for its rich and assorted culture and cuisine. Originally founded as ‘Hispalis’ in Julius Caesar’s time, the city is crammed with stunning architecture and romantic vistas. The city has an abundance of lush gardens, cool marble patios and ornate craftsmanship. Just a stone’s throw away is Santa Cruz, with its tiny whitewashed streets crammed with churches, melancholic guitarists and inviting tapas bars.
