Mingle with the young and hip in this vibrant artistic area in Ixelles/Elsene in the Saint Boniface area. Saunter along quaint shopping streets, loiter at  al freso cafes and generally soak in this district's appealing atmosphere.

Built in 1958 for the World Exposition, the Atomium is the symbol of the 20th century and a testament to progress and welfare.

It represents an elementary iron crystal enlarged 165 billion times according to the centered cubic system. Several connecting spheres represent the atoms in the crystal latice, while tubes represent the binding power between the atoms.

This lovely square with its ornate baroque and gothic guild houses is where most people hang out or start their tour of Brussels. It is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful square in Europe and visitors can enjoy its ambience and views while chilling out in any one of the cafes dotted around it. 

It was built in the 13th century as a merchants market but today it is a venue for concerts, various events and a flower market.

Tin Tin was born in Belgium and is alive and well at the Belgian Centre fr Comic Strip Art. The building is a former warehouse designed in 1903 by Art Nouveau master Victor Horta.

There are 25,000 comic books - the largest collection in the world, and there are often themed exhibitions throughout the year.
