With effect from 1st January 2012, all Holiday or Business travelers to Sri Lanka must have Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) for entering in to Sri Lanka.

Travellers now need to register online and pay a $20 (£13) fee.

Sri Lanka is joining the growing number of developing countries which levy an entry fee on tourists to increase its income.
