If you are heading over to Italy for a holiday, you may have thought about booking a hotel room or even a hostel. However renting holidays homes are becoming more popular as they offer greater flexibility for those traveling with friends or family. If you want to come and go as you please, have meals when you choose, then stay in an apartment. Worldwide Accom offer a wide range of apartments in Tuscany, Venice, apartments in Rome and along the Amalfi coast.

Tuscany

Tuscany is a beautiful part of Italy and the best time to visit is in the spring and early summer, avoiding the stifling heat in July and August and the cold in the winter. Florence is in the heart of Tuscany and houses the art work by Botticelli, Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo. Visit the Pizza della Signoria in the centre of the city which is home to the open air sculpture exhibit, the Loggia della Signoria and the medieval Palace, the Palazzo Vecchio which is Florence’s town hall.

Venice

The city on water is located on the eastern coast of Italy and is a popular romantic destination for couples. Some of the most famous places to visit are St mark’s Square, the big piazza in the centre of the town, the Basilica San Marco and the Correr Museum. Venice is great at all times of the year but it is best to avoid visiting over the summer months when the narrow streets become over filled with tourists and the canals turn green from algae.

Rome

Rome is the capital and largest city in Italy with a population of just over 2 million people. Worldwide Accom have a number of Rome apartments for rent all in the centre of the city, amongst the tourist attractions. You will never have to walk too far to see the Colloseem, the Fountain de Trevi, the Spanish Steps and the Vatican. A great time to visit is Easter when you can go to St Peter’s square and listen to the Pope give his Easter speech.

Amalfi Coast

The Amalfi coast is located just south of Naples and contains the towns of Amalfi, Positano and Ravello. It is a stunning part of Italy and many people catch the ferry to the isles of Capri, Ischia and Procida. You can also easily drive to Sorrento, Pompeli and Herculaneum. Best times to go
