Fishy Tale
An Australian woman was caught by customs officer with 51 live tropical fish hidden under her skirt. The 45 year old was trying to smuggle the fish through Melbourne International Airport in June last year after arriving there from Singapore.
Officers thought something was fishy when they heard 'flipping' noises emanating from her waist. An investigation uncovered 15 plastic water filled bags holding the fish in a purpose-built apron.
The woman was sentenced to nine months community service.
