Where: AGLOW at Auckland Castle, Bishop Auckland, County Durham, DL14 7NP

What: A glittering one-and-a-half mile long trail illuminating the Castle grounds, taking in the Deer Park, River Gaunless and Santa’s Village. Visitors will see Auckland Castle in a whole new light, with stunning projections on the caste walls, a sparkling 100 metre-long tunnel of 100,000 stars, laser illuminations, neon ropes, mirror balls, LED vines, starburst trees, dancing light water fountains and life size illuminated deer amongst silk flower lanterns.
With the tallest Christmas tree in the North sitting at 32 metres, it’s surrounded by Santa’s village which offers a further choice of festive food and drinks including mulled wine, hot chocolates and toasted marshmallows. There’s live performances entertaining guests throughout the evening, as well as a vintage fairground rides.
Tickets: Tickets are £21.50 for adults, £14.50 for children or £66.50 for families (consisting of one adult and three children, or two adults and two children.) Children aged 2 and under enter for free. The Auckland Project Annual Pass Holders receive 20% discount on the ticket prices.
