Hotel review: Constantinou Bros Asimina Suites, Cyprus

by Lucy Woods
Asimina Suites pool

The 5* Asimina Suites is one of four hotels owned by Constantinou Bros in the Cypriot city of Paphos, and by far the most luxurious. Guests have access to their own private sandy beach as well as a huge outdoor swimming pool. If you really want to raise the bar go for a suite that has a private pool with wooden deck.

Expect VIP treatment the moment they walk through the door. There are no check-in desks here: guests are taken into a cosy, private room and presented with champagne and canapés to nibble on as they learn about what the hotel has to offer and receive their room key.

This hotel is strictly adults-only, and guests are promised a relaxing and carefree stay. Even when the hotel is full, there are enough sun beds for everyone, so no need to get up at the crack of dawn and save a space with your towel.

There is also a steam bath and two saunas, which can be used by guests free of charge (but must be booked in advance).

Food and drink

There are four restaurants at Asimina Suites Hotel. The Estia Restaurant is open all year round and offers themed night buffets and indoor and outdoor al fresco dining. This is also where breakfast is served, with an extensive selection of hot and cold dishes and Cypriot specialities such as cured meats and Baklava. There is a chef on site who can cook omelettes and eggs to your liking. Every day is a champagne breakfast – just help yourself.

Asimina Suites Cuisine

For fine dining try the indoor A La Carte Restaurant, where you can enjoy exquisitely cooked scallops, steak and freshly caught fish, accompanied with a bottle of Persephone wine. Other dining options can be found at the Pool Restaurant and Kymata restaurant, which offer light meals and Mediterranean dining a la carte. Couples may also like to book a romantic dinner for two by the pier, with their own private waiter. The dress code for all the restaurants is smart casual for women and trousers for men.

In addition to the restaurants there are three bars: a lounge bar with late night entertainment and live music, a sports bar and the VIP’s Bar which is open until 1am.
