G Adventures adds sixth yacht to its Galapagos Islands fleet

by The Travel Magazine

G Adventures are adding a sixth yacht to its Galapagos fleet to sail 40 different Galapagos itineraries. Sailings will range from seven to 17 days in length with 2020 departures now available to view on its website.

The company has reported a 19 per cent rise in Galapagos bookings since 2016 and this new ship will help with the extra demand.

The 103-foot Reina Silvia Voyager catamaran will cruise the Galápagos Islands as a high-end touring vessel, accommodating up to 16 passengers in 10 cabins on two decks.

Eight will be designed for twin/double stays and two will be dedicated to solo travellers. All 10 cabins feature panoramic windows, lit by energy-saving LED lighting, while eight have private balconies.

An air-conditioned saloon will host  presentations by naturalists while common areas on the third deck will have lounge chairs, a cocktail bar, a grill station and even an outdoor hot tub.

Passengers will be able to access the Galapagos’s remote ports and rocky coasts by boarding kayaks and two zodiacs.

A crew of nine, including a dedicated chef and G Adventures chief experience officer, will be on hand to assist and serve guests.

All 2020 voyages will start and finish in Ecuadorian capital Quito.

Sailings will visit 20 Galapagos islands, including Isabela, Floreana, Santa Cruz and San Cristobal and eight uninhabited islands.

Prices lead in from £4,299pp, excluding flights.
