Eurostar adds Valentine’s Day Love Trains

Eurostar

Eurostar, the high-speed passenger service that marries Britain and France, will this Valentine’s Day be running extra Love Trains between London and Paris – enabling travellers to find romance on board and in two of Europe’s most enchanting cities.

Over 15 years Eurostar’s smooth, seamless service has given rise to many Anglo-French relationships. Now it’s offering the fastest ever route to cross-Channel romance, with a high-speed dating service for London students.  At speeds of up to 186mph, it’s hoped passions will ignite and love will blossom.

If that were not enough, the Love Trains will also be inflaming passions of a very different kind – enabling Scottish rugby fans to travel to the Six Nations Rugby match against France, at the Stade de France in Paris.

Eurostar has laid on the Love Trains thanks to high demand and the expected completion of Channel Tunnel repairs on 10 February. This has enabled the insertion of extra services into the timetable before the reintroduction of a full Eurostar service from Monday 23rd February.
Eurostar’s Communications Director, Simon Montague, said:

“No recession can quell passion, whether it’s for cross-Channel romance or rugby union.  A trip on Eurostar offers great pleasure and good value, and we’re hoping to spark new relationships between Britain and France, both on and off the field.

“It will be an eclectic mix of passengers on the Love Trains – and whether it’s a passion for a fellow passenger or the game ahead, we expect the atmosphere on board to highly charged.”

“Since the advent of Eurostar, there has arisen a new generation of relationships between the British and French that has come about because of the ease of keeping in touch. High-speed rail lets love blossom and this Valentine’s Day will see Britain and France coming even closer.”
