In its 6th year, Zurich Tanzt, a city-wide dance festival, continues to bring the best of contemporary dance practices and innovations from around the world to Zurich. For three days, Zurich becomes a dance destination and a stage for leading dance professionals to showcase original pieces of work alongside a full programme of dance courses for everyone to experience and engage with.
Last year, the festival welcomed more than 18,000 visitors and presented performances in more than 30 different spaces throughout the city.
This year, coinciding with the 500th of the Zurich reformation, the festival promotes the freedom of movement by taking over Zurich’s main station and turning it to a dance floor on Saturday evening, inviting the public to explore the joy of movement and the benefits of dancing.
Zurich Tanzt takes place from 4 to 6 May 2018.
Weekend pass costs 45 CHF and one day pass 25 CHF. Purchase tickets here [German].
This year, Zurich Tanzt is welcoming leading international dance artists such as Delréves (Spain) and Benjamin Vandervalle (Begium). The programme includes guided «Walks through the city», performances, parties, surprising acts and over 160 crash courses introducing a variety of dance styles, ranging from ballet to break dance, and from Flamenco to Charleston and Acro Yoga.
